Cardoz

ORIGINS & FOUNDATIONS

Born in Portugal in 1995, João Cardoso, known as CARDOZ, began his studies in Illustration at London Metropolitan University (The Cass), where he received theSir John Cass School of Art & Design Award 2017. His work bridges instinct and precision, blending organic forms with constructed order to explore how art can become both structure and emotion.

FUSION OF HUMAN & MACHINE

CARDOZ’s work examines the tension between the human and the mechanical — a reflection captured in his own words: “If today we are mechanical humans, tomorrow we might be humanized machines.”Through mural painting, illustration, and experimental design, he explores how technology reshapes identity, turning each surface into a visual dialogue between man and machine.

PROJECTS & COLLABORATIONS

Across exhibitions and residencies such as ARTURbMUSA – Museum of Art of Sintra, and PAPER TOSS, CARDOZ has developed a body of work defined by versatility and precision. His collaborations with EDPBMW, and Fujitsu reflect a continuous dialogue between art and industry — where each project becomes an extension of his visual language rather than a departure from it.
